1/ What is a market index and why does it matter?

Time for a thread 🧵

Simply put, a market index tracks the performance of a chosen group of assets.

In the case of ST Market Data we wanted to understand how various baskets of assets in the #Sorare ecosystem have performed... 2/ We start off by looking at three key metrics:

-Market Cap
-Number of Cards
-Average Valuations

These can be further disaggregated by:
-Sport (Football, NBA, Baseball)
-League (Champion, Challenger, America, Asia)
-Rarity (Limited, Rare, Super Rare, Unique)
