How did millennials+ become ‘the boundaries generation’? I have a theory but it’s a bit complicated so bear with me. In very broad terms, our parents had a much colder & more authoritarian relationship with their parents than we did. So when they had kids, they didn’t want that.
(This is extremely simplified and based on my own experiences and observations, I’ve used general terms for simplicity, not universality. This is mostly describing parents who may be further down the emotional immaturity scale than average )
