So yeah I've got some things to say about this group. A while back I was contacted by one of theirs about potential work. I wrote a signal message to the individual mentioned here. Strap yourself in, because it's about to get wild. I was on vacation in the west of the country and had my ringer off. I woke up in the morning to this. This is the LARPiest bullshit I've seen since 2022. I dont even know where to begin, but I'll highlight a few things. Image

I'm not going to pretend I know what Trump will do next year, but if he cuts aid to Ukraine, what can you do, besides donating? Your mission briefing is in this thread. Go to parts of your cities full of homeless and junkies. Make videos of the street(from afar), or just find videos that others made. Check the dates to make sure they're appropriate.

I'm getting sick of doomers saying Harris will be no different than Biden regarding Ukraine. You're not looking at it from the right POV. The right POV is Putin's. THREAD Right now, the russians are once again spending massive amounts of money trying to get Trump elected. Troll farms, fake videos, etc. Do you think they spend all that money believing there's no difference? No.

So I see the discourse is "Alas! What are the Dems doing to speak to young men and keep them from going fash." I know a bad faith argument when I see one so I have a few things to say about it based on my expertise in radical fringe politics. First of all, why is this always liberals/Dems fault or responsibility? There's a massive social media right wing noise machine that is promoting garbage to these young men, mostly for money. Why don't you aim your criticism at them and ask them why they're promoting this crap?

I think what many people don't get is that russia's propagandists are well aware they're not going to get a majority of normal people to go full Z- Nazi and openly side with russia. That's why they tailor their message for certain audiences. THREAD All the far-right/MAGA communist stuff is only for the fringes. For the normies, russia uses other messaging. WW3, nukes, and films like this where we see poor russian soldiers who supposedly don't know why they have to fight, but still do so.

The reason russians think this way is because their history textbooks actually tell them all these countries they dominate(ed) "joined Muscovy/russia of their own accord, and the benevolent masters brought them civilization. If you want to see how this affects minorities in russia, look no further than this shit.

Just one thing. If you believe any of Elon's rhetoric about "free speech," you not only have no concept of what that means, but you also have the mental level of a child. Specifically, a child who suffered multiple concussions throughout its toddler years. Authoritarian grifters throughout history have long known they can abuse liberal values like free speech in order to gain power, after which they proceed to censor anything they don't like. Often their censorship is far more oppressive.

Russia: We must be an empire, and we can't be one w/o Ukraine, so we will invade and wipe out the Ukrainian identity, which is a Western/Jewish Nazi plot.

Marxist prof: Let's analyze the multifaceted socioeconomic/ geopolitical economic factors that make this war NATO's fault. What's funny is Marxists had volumes of analysis about Nazi Germany while the Anglo-American view was more akin to "These guys are a bunch of murderous thugs who want to conquer Europe. We should stop them."

The truth is that you can't let Biden and Sullivan off the hook for their dog shit policies that made this possible. They knew there were midterms in 2022. They knew that incumbent parties get hit hard in midterms. And enough with the excuses that ATACMS or X/Y wouldn't make a difference. Every step of this war, Ukrainians were denied a certain weapon, then it was handed over and they uses it to great effect. Time to admit you don't know better.

The reason why invoking Reagan in this situation doesn't work is because Reagan was the embodiment of the late Cold War, and the dominant view in the US was that this conflict was about communism. Ergo Americans don't understand why conflict with russia exists. Many Americans of both political fringes think the conflict is somehow our fault, because they know nothing about russia and our 90s media told them we were supposed to be friends because communism was gone.

"If you support Ukraine so much, why don't you go sign up to fight?"

Time for a thread on why people who say this are fucking morons, from a guy who actually did just that. As is typical, many of these people think every war is Iraq or Afghanistan. Back in the Bush days, that argument actually meant something. Not saying it was the best argument, but at least it made sense because the US was directly involved in the wars.

Uh oh, fellas. I'm done for. Teenage commie reddit nerds have found me. If you want to see a threat of coping, seething, and cringe, look no further. (Thanks @GercakBenjamin )

reddit.com/r/ShitLiberals… My favorite of the genre is the comments about "avoiding Frontline combat" and not being in Bakhmut, which they think is the only place any fighting is happening, apparently. From their POV, wouldn't that be good? It's not like they're rooting from Ukraine.

Uh oh. NAFO fellas are fucking up again and lecturing Ukrainians from a place of safety and comfort again. It's only been like two days. If you're actually donating and doing something, great. But let's not pretend there aren't people acting like shitposting makes them soldiers. Today I made a thread about an easy but very meaningful way people in other countries can aid Ukraine and get justice against russia, so it's not like I'm saying you don't help.

I think the also miss the big picture that liberalism wins because it is flexible. You don't have to be a liberal and sign on to a specific ideology to get by in a liberal society, whereas other political alternatives require everyone to sign on to something like that. For example, communists and socialists thrived in the US in the 20s and 30s despite open suppression. How did liberals fare in 1930s USSR?

Folks, if you can't directly help Ukraine for practical financial reasons here's one very meaningful thing you can do not just for Ukraine, but your own country and the world. THREAD As NAFO has highlighted, man countries, especially Western ones, have people who make a career off of defend Russian fascism and imperialism. While many of these people are hard right types who are typically despised for their bigotry, there are many who don't face social costs.

0 days without having to remind people that I don't owe them shit just because they have a shiba avatar. "bUt wE'rE oN tHe SaMe TeAm!" LOL no, you are not on my fucking team. And you fighting russians on Twitter doesn't make you a soldier in the ZSU, nor a volunteer, an emergency worker, or even an ordinary Ukrainian civilian trying to get by. Understand the difference.

Sincere thanks to a real one. Sometimes other fellas forget that they are spectators in this war, but for people in Ukraine it is very real. Nearly every day people confront death and suffering. You trade memes. Keep perspective. Dark humor keeps me going and in this way I'm like many Ukrainians, but you see only the memes. It's easy to forget that every day someone learns they've lost a friend, a lover, a child. Every day people huddle in bomb shelters or go without electricity and/or water.

Since I've got time, another thread: the idea that Russia must inevitably win this war because "human waves" betrays a poor understanding of Russian military history, whereby Russia is this juggernaut which may lose initially, but ultimately win because numbers. Let's fix this. First, let's look at 🇷🇺's military record after Napoleon, who lost for completely logical reasons. Crimean War, L. 1905 war against an emerging imperial power, L. WWI, L. First Chechen War, L. Second Chechen War, W by turning some rebels and paying tribute to Grozny ever since.

Kinda pissed off at the moment so I'll write a thread about something I've been saying for a while, of which I was reminded when I saw that Dasha moron asking Ukrainians to fix Russia for her. So for those who don't know, I moved to Russia during the book time, mid 2000s. People were doing well. A middle class was rising. Moscow was ridiculously expensive and I felt poor compared to even the middle class students I was teaching.

Funny to see tankie leftists defending Wagner, say it's "not an explicitly Nazi unit." Well neither is Azov yet these people insist that its existence justifies a genocidal invasion and land grab. Plus, Wagner is named after its founder, a known neo-Nazi who got his nickname because he liked wearing 3rd Reich gear in combat. Azov is named after...the Azov Sea.

So funny how they claim the US somehow pressured the OPCW to doctor the Douma report, but in the end it conflicted w/ the US own assessment and the US bombed 3 empty buildings long before the report was even released. That's it. I know nobody has any memory beyond a month or so, but after Douma, the US warned Russia and the regime, bombed buildings that were evacuated, and later that year announced they were pulling most troops out of Syria. If this is a regime change invasion plot it failed hard.
