I don't expect those who confer UNESCO awards to themselves and those who wish seeing women paraded naked to understand Saastra.

In fact, this braindead arivuilladha arivalayam pavadai doesnt realize these words were actually said by a Sudra only. Here's the context ... First one should know what the Vedantic purport of the word Sudra is. Everyone is a born Sudra. The word Sudra is not the same as modern day political Dalit. There's no terminology of Dalit in Sastras. I've detailed that here πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

Point 1 is not true. Most major scientific instrumentation always capture images in monochrome whether it is a CMOS/CCD or a PMT. This is because of several reasons.
a. Color requires using a Bayer Filter that assigns the RGB to each pixel. Bayer uses an additional G since the retina is sensitive to green at a typical daytime white balance of 5500K or a D65 correlated color temp (CCT) of 6500K. Each pixel, though it can absorb all wavelengths, can only transmit the color it is intended to. That means, a pixel for Red will lose information from G and B

Clarified this with elders. Apparently, the Haritha varna is contemplated by some upaasakas to indicate that He removes doshas and kalmashaas and confers auspiciousness. This is also why one of the mukhas i.e. Garuda in the Panchamukha Aanjaneya murthi is depicted in green. as He removes all poison, physical and metaphysical, plaguing seekes. So, although the haritha varna is legit, Sastras primarily describe Hanuman as golden. Tulsidas says, Kanchana varana viraaja suvesa.
Kanchanabha is one of the names of Hanuman as well.

This is one of those movies where artistic brilliance clouds factual history in a way that subtly vilifies the viewer.
That said, there was indeed a vigraha of Govindaraja Swamy that was being shifted from Thillai to Tirupati by Sri Ramanuja. However that developed a crack and hence was deemed unfit for worship. Because the muhurtam for consecration was approaching, Sri Ramanuja ordered one to be made immediately of chalk, which is the present Govindaraja Swamy in Tirupati. This is the reason why there is no jala or ksheera abhishekam to this murthy.

What's wrong with Ph.Ds here? Your doc is absolutely right. Endometriosis can result in significant dips in ovarian reserves with potentially low antral follicle counts and AMH levels. To the point that formation of new eggs might not be sustainable even with IVF. The treatment from your German doctor is wrong. Contra pills aren't the solution to manage endo. Definitely not if the pill has estrogen in it. It will only add to the inflammatory microenvironment around the endo lesion. The Indian doc should be commended here actually.

The Maandukya Upanishad from the Atharvana Veda is one of the very few treatises that deals with this paradigm below. The answer for your question lies in understanding the difference between what is real, what is unreal, and what is "perceived" to be real @neiltyson Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita,

Naasato vidyate bhaavo naabhaavo vidyate sata: |
Ubhayorapi dristho antastvanayos tattva-darshibhi: ||

The unreal is transient, the real is eternal. Great Rishis, after studying the nature of both real and unreal, have concluded thus.

This is a moot question. Varnas were created by Paramatma for a work-based hierarchy, though He Himself is above them. That means they are eternal. There is no ancient/modern nonsense here. While there is an occupation-based hierarchy, no Sastra says varna isn't birth based. It comes via birth too depending on the jiva's past vaasanas.

The same BG also says,

As always with Bharatiya sampradayas, there's a lot of Rishi vignaana that brings together the physical, metaphysical, and the Absolute onto one plane for our overall material and spiritual growth. This thread talks about a few such aspects.

Lol. This is forced juxtaposition with no basis. Constitution is just a political document meant to help in running the state. It doesn’t tell you anything about janma marana samskaras or about Atmagnaana or Paramatma. Smriti is primarily concerned with memory or smara Right memory or recollection at the right time is an aspect of Paramatma as well. Which is why we pray for Prachodayaat in any form of Gayatri. In fact, Salya tells Karna when the latter forgets the invocatory chants for his weapons that Paramatma is none other than Spurana.

Nithyananda ji is correct from an academic perspective no doubt. But such an approach seriously limits the scope, reach, and actual purport of the Mahabharata and all such Vaidika resources. Most academicians seem to have begun their "research" with the assumption that it is not humanly possible to write 100,000 slokas. They view it in the same PoV as other Western epics such as Iliad and Odyssey and also subconsciously assume that they are on the same pedestal as Vyasa. However, this is just pure disregard to the greatness of both

This is a good question and as I had explained in that same thread, it is a function of Maya. Now, Paramatma, Jivatma, and Maya are always existent. There is no beginning, middle, or end for them. That's why Krishna says in the Gita, Na tvevaham jaathu naasam na tvam neme janadipa: |
Na chaiva na bhavishyaama: sarve vayamata: param ||
(Arjuna) Never there was a time when I, you, or these kings did not exist and never in the future shall any of us cease to be.

This is not true. The problem with Indology is that while it seeks to discover our past, it does so from a myopic Western lens, thought, timing, and a naysayer perspective. If this is the case, then Markandeya worshipping the Siva Linga, the Ikshvakus worshipping Ranganatha, Rukmini Devi worshipping Kaatyaayani, and countless such examples that abound in Puranas should be false. Also, many of the swayambhu kshetras and important teerthas today were all present since several yugas forget about IVC, with some as old as this Kalpa itself.

Haha. Fool. On the day of Deepavali Amavasya, abhyangana snaana, pitru tarpanam, deepa daanam, ulka darsanam, and Lakshmi puja are performed. Deepa daana is not some Buddhist creation. The concept of even the wicks in a Deepam is highly Vedic, so it is impossible that what is essentially a naasitka vaada will even promulgate something about Deepam, let alone Deepa Daanam. It is that time of the year again β€” an auspicious occasion of Deepavali marked by festivities, exchange of pleasantries, sumptuous food, crackers! and of course, Bhagavan's blessings

Some may have a doubt as to why dress code and presentation matter. I hear statements like, "Hinduism is a cool religion vro". "We aren't "Taliban vro", "Ma lyfe ma rules yo" etc.

While these arguments are fine, we mustn't forget that the cool factor in SD stems from not only being open-ended but also from the in-depth understanding and correlation that it espouses b/n us and Divinity.

Dress code or, more appropriately, vastra dhaarana is one such aspect. Here's a very peripheral view of why it is important and how we should present ourselves.

A small addition if I may, Mahodaya. It is not technically incorrect to ascribe Bhaaratavarsha to King Bharata. Many Puranas do so, in fact. It is a nuanced thing actually. However, Bhaarata was there even before Bharata was born. The word Bharata is an epithet for Agni. I have previously stated many times that the land where yagnas are performed is Bhaarata. Yagna means a thyaga-purvaka karma. It is translated as "sacrifice" into English, but as with most Vedic terms, the translation does not do complete justice. Agni is the means of

One way to ensure a lasting effect of civilizational collapse is to attack its very fundamentals. In our case, it is the family system that has been both the cynosure as well as eyesore for many, particularly the Western thought.
Therefore, by introducing inappropriate translations and equivalences to Dharmic concepts, people try to influence their own myopic view of humanity and life in general. The ready availability of semi-literate wokes among us is an added bonus in this endeavor. One such concept that has been vilified by not just dolts
