I spent 2 hours on the phone this morning trying to find out who to talk to about my school following COVID regulations after a student tested positive yesterday. I was passed through NINE different agencies and none of them were able to give me any answers or file a report I called 211 who directed me to OSHA who directed me to enforcement who told me they couldn’t help me and directed me to Oregon Health Authority which it turns out is just 211, I was then transferred to Oregon Department of Education who then transferred me to their enforcement

Stop telling Domestic Violence victims and survivors what to do. We face judgement for calling the police or for not calling the police. We face judgement for leaving and for staying. Escaping abuse is one of the hardest things to do and how someone handles it is very personal 3 women die every day from domestic violence. Statistically, victims are in the most danger when they are in the process of leaving their abuser or have just left. So many people think that calling the police solves the issue but that simply isn’t the case.
