How reservations were given for the oppressed, socially, culturally backward etc. in Tamilnadu.

1. On the occasion of former Finance minister P Chidambaram's marriage, EVR wrote an article in which says that Kongu Vellala caste to which Nalini Chidambaram belonged was a superior caste, right from the time when caste system got instituted.Image
Image 2. EVR also remarks that Nattukottai Chettiar the community to which PC belongs was "not so high caste". Only in the last 60-70 years they rose up due to their economic position.

So as per @saravofcl which of these communities should have got the benefits of reservation?

These verses in Yuddha Kanda have been used to portray Rama in a certain way. Between Balakanda & Yuddha Kanda, in Ramayana there are many inter-related events which are not widely known & these inter-related led to Agni Pravesha by Sita. What exactly are they? Let us see. 1 Usually it is said that Rama asked Sita to enter fire & term it as Agni Pariksha. But Rama had only asked Sita to go with any man she likes. It was Sita who decides to enter fire. 2. Why February alone has 28 days?
3. Why should you adjust for leap years?
4. Why is there no leap year adjustment in Tamil Calendar? Ask anyone around, you cannot find answers to such questions through what is taught in schools.

This information of temple control being under select few is historically wrong. In Madras presidency, temple elections were initiated by 1863 act, much before SILF. Kumbakonam temple election was won by Mr.T.Ponnusami Nadar. 1/n
