I've been v quiet the last week as I've found it a v difficult week. What started with passing of the amazing Ruth last Sunday then leads to today, Irenes 3rd Anniversary since her passing. I really want to first thank everybody for all of the kind messages I've received today(1) I'm always grateful of the continued support and compassion my boys and I receive, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Irene was taken from this world far to early and now we know it should never of happened. She was denied the opportunity to be a mother to her children(2)

What we've witnessed over the last 2 days is the typical fallout from a Screening programme that was "doomed to fail". There has been fear and anxiety injected into the women and families of Ireland AGAIN on the back of this. Smear tests saves lives and (1)

All women need to continue going for smears even though it's participating in a programme where trust has been eroded. My priorities haven't changed, I will continue to fight for change, so we have the best screening programme all the women and families of Ireland can rely on (2)
