Or instead of some tortured hypothetical, we could point out the fact that Obama and his fellow Democrats willfully incited the 2020 George Floyd/BLM riots all over the country, which lasted for months, where a bunch of black folks killed dozens of people including several LEOs, injured thousands of people including hundreds of LEOs, and resulted in over $2 billion in public and private property damage; and to add insult to injury, in stark contrast to the J6 rioters, the vast majority who broke the law managed to escape any justice or accountability for their crimes.
Why would some of Trump’s staunchest supporters and allies in the House seemingly and publicly defy him when it comes to McCarthy’s bid for SoH?
I don’t know what it is, exactly, but something is definitely afoot.

The worst kept secret in the GOP is that the GOPe wants to get rid of Trump and unlock his grip on the GOP base.
The GOPe obviously see RDS as the vessel to do that, so they are doing everything they can to elevate RDS and lower MAGA in order to undermine Trump.
As for why the GOPe wants to get rid of Trump, the answer is fairly obvious, in my opinion:
If your scam is to use the illusion of choice to hold onto power regardless of performance, you cannot allow a bona fide outsider to actually perform and risk exposing your scam.
