Help! nobody sees me and I get no engagement from people anymore.
This is happening more and more on here, due to how they have people in tiered groups.
As such, you may think your tweets are never seen by people and you get fewer interactions than ever, but there are ways to break out of it. 👇🏻Image This is what Google says about it:
“Not being seen on social media happens due to algorithms hiding posts, posting infrequent/unengaging (sic) content, or people being busy/preferring to lurk, but you can improve visibility by posting consistently, using relevant hashtags, engaging with others (like the "5x5x5 method"), experimenting with content, and going live/guesting to tap into new audiences.
For personal use, it can also stem from self-censorship, but sometimes a strategic break or prioritising real-life connection is best”

How grifting works on here aka Platform Manipulation.

I will try to keep this as brief as I can. It's a site-wide issue and will take a bit of an explanation.

Account Boosting:
An account which is pretty big, let’s say 20k followers, starts replying to you and liking your stuff, they then follow you. You return it.
You go on to share and QT/RT their content and they are posting all day long.
After a little while they have amassed countless amounts of followers. We’re talking now well over 30k/40k or even into the 100k+ bracket.

Nothing wrong in any of that. It’s the rest of it that is the issue.
It soon starts as account boosting and reciprocal RT’s and QT’s. (retweets and quote tweets).
By doing this, you boost each other’s content and reciprocally share as much as you can.

Monetisation:
Twitter/ X, has a monetisation programme. If you get 5m or above impressions (views) in a month and you pay for Twitter, you have access to their monetary programme.

This means, the more people who interact with you, the more money you can make.

Some massive accounts, will likely churn a couple of grand a week.
So, the more they post, the more money they earn.
As a result, it's created an army of verified, spamming big accounts who make a killing on here.
Some of us already know this, but many don’t.
This is why I said I’d do a thread to explain it to those people who want to know but don’t necessarily fully understand it.Image

Platform Manipulation:
Ok, so the platform manipulation is a bit more complex.
Sometimes out of the blue, you will receive a DM and/or be included into a group chat (GC).
It will start under the guise of account boosting.
In this GC are many of your mutuals and a lot of these big accounts.
What they then proceed to do, is spam the GC with links to their posts. They will then start doing this from morning ‘till night and link to every single Tweet they post.
You start to like and RT them, again helping their reach but most importantly, building their numbers up and their impressions (views).
Remembering that, the more impressions = more money.

Now this may not initially appear to be that bad, but I can tell you from first-hand experience, the whole thing is a massive network. They don’t just use one group, they use several. Some are even up to 15-20 group chats.
