The devil works hard but the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics works harder

ICYMI they quietly proposed new guidelines for "evidence-based" interventions for o*****y

In there, they recommend a daily 500-750 kcal deficit and suggest not using #HAES to improve quality of life It should be obvious, but this is NOT the move. I cannot endorse what will perpetuate a culture of weight stigma and anti-fat bias in the profession and allow harmful practices to continue to be recommended to those in fat bodies under the guise of it being "evidence-based"
