🚨 Ruben Amorim's Cultural Overhaul at Manchester United: Discipline, Standards, and a Bold New Era 🚨

A revolution is brewing at Old Trafford. Amorim isn’t just managing the team—he’s reshaping its DNA. Discipline, meritocracy, and bold decisions define his mission to revive the glory days.

#MUFC #ManUtd #RubenAmorimImage A New Chapter at Old Trafford:

Ruben Amorim's arrival signals a seismic cultural shift. Discipline, work ethic, and bold decisions are at the heart of his plan to revive the club's DNA, reminiscent of Sir Alex Ferguson's golden era.

Before the Manchester derby, his decision to leave Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the starting XI caused an uproar on social media. But Amorim had a point to prove.Image

🚨🧵Big Thread: Execution and decision making issues.Image What RA is talking about here is the fact the players made far too many mistakes in their execution and decision making. These issues have occured all season.

Key moments vs BodøImage One of many challenges with using wingers as a WB. Antony doesn`t follow his man and Bodø are dangerous. Great defending by Malacia where he comes on the right side of the defender. Good positioning > Good clearance

An Overview of United's Best Talents: A Thread🧵
{by @the_art_of_7}

Having won the U18 Premier League and U18 Premier League Cup last season, the U18s have started off strong once again. But who are the standouts in this supposed super team? Image Shea Lacey:

The golden child of the academy. The RW has a wand of a left foot. A master manipulator in tight spaces with good shooting technique and an expert on the half turn, Lacey is the type of talent that gets fans off their feet.

MANUEL UGARTE TACTICAL ANALYSIS⭐️🔥

A detailed deep dive on the Uruguayan midfielder, is he the missing link in the United midfield?

✍️@EverydayMUFC22 Image Ugarte has recently joined from PSG for a fee of £42m+8m add ons. I do believe that the fee is a little too much considering the price PSG paid last summer

There definitely is a lot to like about the player however i also have reservations about his style and fit

MANCHESTER CITY OPPOSITION ANALYSIS

Breaking down the press and build up of Manchester City + how to exploit it

✍️@EverydayMUFC22
Image
Image
Vs Chelsea, City pressed in a narrow 433, almost a front four diamond press. Both wingers narrow going man to man with Haaland covering the CCB+making an angled run to force the GK into passing. The midfield is more zonal, meaning that Chelsea do have passing options centrally, essentially being forced to play into central areas

3-2 Build-Up | #6/#8 Relationship 🗣️

🔑 Communication – #6 & #8

🔑 Movement – vacate & arrive into space

🔑 Body Orientation – keep body open ready to play forward.

A THREAD. 🧵

GK is ready to play through the lines but United's double pivot is in the same place whilst being flat footed & static.

Causes opposition to mark through middle.

Instead, the #8/#6 should arrive into space & not start there, as seen in these clips. ⬇️

United have brought in Andreas Georgson as a new first team coach who will be focusing on set pieces!

So who is he and what will he mean for #mufc? 🤔

Thread🧵 | By @ConnorF1878 Image Well firstly, it goes back to what Dave Brailsford is always preaching; “marginal gains” – making small improvements regularly.

You’ll see stories popping up of United trying innovative ideas just for a chance of gaining an inch over our opponents

Georgson is part of that.

Erik Ten Hag’s NEW and IMPROVED Manchester United System | A short thread by @Z0hair7 Image Let’s start with the out of possession system, I wrote a thread no too long ago about RVN’s defensive shape at PSV and well that is what we saw against Arsenal. But there was a huge change... Instead of it being a Mid-Block with a high defensive line, it was actually a higher line of engagement as well as the high defensive line.Image

How Ruud Van Nistelrooy is going to FIX Manchester United’s defensive record... | A short thread by @Z0hair7 Image As we all know Van Nistelrooy is joining the united coaching staff but before this he was the manager of PSV. Him and Ten Hag do share the same principles in possession, with the staggered build up play

and ‘overloading to isolate’ pattern of play where you overload one side of the pitch using a minimum of 3 players mostly being the winger, #10/#8 and the full back that would draw the opposition over for the switch to the ‘isolated winger’Image

Mini Thread on how Spurs operate & how United may be able to be effective tomorrow 🧵

Spurs OOP (Out of Possession):

• Purpose in their play is to play forward with every opportunity.

• Progression comes from midfielders/full backs (heavily rotational); allow spurs’ CBs to hold possesion and deny options into progressive outlets

• Use maximum width on the last line to force defenders into making decsions; take advantage of these situations with quick, penetrative passes into players in the pockets — we should look to disrupt their central play and encourage them wide.Image When attacking, United need to consciously overload the far side; this is a reoccurring point to exploit because they maintain the value of always holding a high line, in any defensive situation.

Spurs also have Bissouma & Sarr on international duty, who both cover a lot of ground & help the wide channels.

Skipp & Bentancur have to be tested in transition.
