Here's the thread nobody asked for. My full take on Russia/Ukraine!

First. My take on foreign policy and geopolitics generally: Moralism is a waste of time. Realism and pragmatism wins the day every time, whether it be in acheiving desired outcomes or preventing tragedy. Now, let's start with the obvious.

1) You have no idea what's happening in the war. And neither do I. Ukraine has EVERY incentive to lie. Russia has EVERY incentive to lie.

The American media prefers Ukraine's lies, which is fine. But they should not be taken as truth.

Yes.

One of the most misused quotes of the modern era is Andrew Breitbart's line about "politics being downstream of culture".

Andrew was talking about the Democrat cultural machine. Hollywood, News Media, and now Big Tech. He was describing how the unfettered of that group -- -- is poisoning American culture, which in turn poisons American politics.

It was a call to action to destroy and then rebuild that unholy triangle of gigantic information apparatuses.

Destroy their communications apparatus, and it'll be a lot easier to win cultural issues. --

This much cry tweeting about Juneteenth is honestly pathetic. And don't forget a minute attempt to justify it with some ploy about narrative, which you don't understand.

Let me fill you in, genius. Nobody cares.

The American people writ large don't even know the difference -- -- between Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. They just know that it's two days off of work. And it has something to do with honoring soldiers.

Same here. Nobody gives a shit about whatever cockamamie theory that either the Left or YOU have cooked up.

I'm not saying you can't --

Almost anything bad that happens in this world happened inside of a nexus of both corruption AND stupidity.

Not only are they not mutually exclusive, they very often go hand-in-hand.

Take Shipwrecked's argument that much of the CH team's investigation into the Trump/Russia nonsense was fueled by cognitive dissonance, and a preemptive notion that Trump was guilty. Yes, that sort of closed-mindedness is stupid. These people weren't Lex Luthors by any means.

But when your cognitive dissonance is triggered ONLY when you're tasked with investigating

We can talk all day about all the money that changed hands and all the letters that got sent to powerful people in order to rig the rules of the 2020 Election.

But at the end of it all, there's a simple reason why the fraud was allowed to happen. And it has very little to do -- with Trump. It has far more to do with a total, embarrassing failure of the Republican party. A failure that manifests itself even now.

The current Republican talking point on election integrity is that they're trying to "make it easier to vote, and harder to cheat".

Small thread.

The problem is not that Joe Biden might have influenced the jury. They're sequestered. He didn't.

The problem is not that Joe Biden might have incited riots. They'll happen without him.

Joe Biden couldn't convince a starving bear to eat fish.

The problem is that a chief officer of the executive branch is designating "right decisions" to a coequal branch of government IN A CRIMINAL CASE!

A criminal case is when the executive branch of government is attempting to deprive person's of their liberty. An independent-
