I categorically stand against the medically UNNECESSARY surgeries / interventions being performed on intersex kids by pediatric urologists at this institution and the complicity of my own dept Adol Med (2/4) The intersex community, medical organizations like the AAFP, the WHO, GLMA and Lurie’s own queer and trans employees have been calling on Earl Cheng and others to cease these harmful interventions. Every time they have been dismissed and disregarded.
