The number 5️⃣ will forever be ingrained in the history of Ole Miss Baseball, and it is all because of the program that HC Mike Bianco has built. Mike Bianco was a catcher for the Rebs' rival LSU Tigers from 1988-89. Why is that important? Well, he was brought up by another legend in all of college baseball in HC Skip Bertman who built a shabby program at LSU to a World Series contender and National Championship team in his 5 CWS Championships and 7 SEC Championships. With 6️⃣ days to go until Ole Miss Baseball is back at Swayze, (bc I am getting all of our boys a day to themselves) we take a look at jersey number 6 worn by Reagan Burford. Reagan is a 6'0" 195 lb junior out of Germantown, Tennessee. He is a juco transfer from Northwest Florida State (and influenced CWS MVP Dylan DeLucia to come to Ole Miss). With 7️⃣ days remaining until the Diamond Rebs' first pitch on Opening Day, we scout one of the brightest stars on the diamond in all of college baseball, Jacob Gonzalez. Gonzo wears the number 7 jersey, and he hails from Glendora, California where he went to Glendora High. Image A 6'2" 200 lb junior, Gonzo has a long, athletic build for a SS.
