Assassin's Creed Shadows has had 4 years of development, the longest in AC's history. While it doesn’t look like a complete overhaul of the franchise, there are a ton of new mechanics to look forward to.
Here are 10 details from Shadows' gameplay that have me hyped. A Thread 🧵 1) Parkour
Parkour has had its biggest change since AC Origins, the dodge button now has a use in parkour, it allows Naoe to vault over ledges, and do flips off any rooftop edges.
This results in much more dynamic faster parkour that allows for far more variation of movement, plus the introduction of the grapple hook which we will cover later in this thread.

GTA 4 is widely considered the darkest & most realistic GTA but despite that, most people don't know that it has a ton of secrets and Easter eggs that you probably missed.
These are GTA 4's most wild and genuinely terrifying secrets & easter eggs, A Thread🧵 1) Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton is in GTA 4, sort of.
The Statue of Liberty called (The Statue of Happiness) in-game is actually depicting Hillary Clinton holding a coffee cup (Hot Coffee reference) and a tablet in the other hand.
This was most likely placed as a jab towards Clinton as she was one of the biggest critics against GTA San Andreas and it's "Hot Coffee" mod (explains why she is holding that) and went on record many times demanding more regulation for video games because of San Andreas.
The tablet says:
"“Send us your brightest, your smartest, your most intelligent,
Yearning to breathe free and submit to our authority,
Watch us trick them into wiping rich people's asses,
While we convince them it's a land of opportunity.”

Here are 10 mind-blowing small & hidden details from GTA IV that prove it was way ahead of its time. A Thread 🧵 1) Water Physics
GTA 4 straight up has one of the best implementations of water physics I have ever seen in an open world game.
Water reacts to the exact size of a vehicle dropped into it with proper ripple effects that last beyond the initial impact.
This is on top of the fact that water reacts realistically to helicopters being flown near it, and also the player himself crashing into it plus explosions and bullets.

GTA 5 was originally going to have 5 major Story Expansions
Here are all the details on these cancelled expansions: A Thread 🧵 1) Expansion 1: Agent Trevor "Clifford Episode"
Before we get started, it's important to clarify that much of this info was dug up through data mining and source code leaks and some ex-developer interviews. Nothing here was ever set fully in stone or finished fully. However here is what was planned:
Agent Trevor was the expansion that got the furthest into development, reportedly being half-way done before being cancelled. and even Steven Ogg (Trevor Actor) confirmed he did performance work for it before it suddenly disappeared.
Much of this content actually made it into GTA Online in a different form as The Doomsday Heist.
It was going to involve 38 story mission with Trevor being recruited by the IAA in some form to become a secret special agent and track down the rogue AI: Clifford, the Jet Pack would've made an appearance here as it did in the doomsday heist. Ron, Wade and Paperman would've all made apperances, as well as Agent 14 who was supposed to be a story character.
14 Stranger and Freaks missions were all planned for 4 new characters as well as 12 Assassination contracts that were originally separate DLC that got merged into this one and here's an even more interesting tidbit:
The Casino was supposed to be opened alongside the release of this DLC in Single-player GTA 5, and one heist in this expansion would've involved robbing the Casino. This general idea laid the groundwork for the Diamond Casino and its heist later down the line in GTA Online.
It would've introduced two new weapons: The Crossbow and The Harpoon Gun which would've been GTA 5's first underwater weapon and horses were suupposed to be added as well.

Their muscles contort and move realistically as well which you can see visibly in the clip below. the only game that has managed to surpass RDR1's horses has been RDR2.

If you gamble too much at the casino and lose all your money, you can actually get into the negative amounts of cash and be in debt to the casino. If you ignore your debts long enough, the triad will send its members after you to "collect"

Red Dead Redemption 2 turns 6 years old today is one of the most detailed games ever and it is more detailed than most modern games releasing today!
Here are 10 of my favorite small and hidden details in RDR2 that you might have missed. A Thread 🧵 1) Clouds are real and fully 3D
While games like Horizon Forbidden West are flexing that they can finally render 3D Clouds on the PS5, RDR2 managed to do it years before on the PS4 without any actual gameplay reason as you never get high enough to fly through them aside from one mission.
Most likely this was done so GTA 6 can carry it over (as seen in the trailer!) but it's insanely gorgeous.
