BLA Says All 214 Hostages Executed as Pakistan Ignores Ultimatum; Heavy Fighting Continues in Bolan

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) announced on Friday that it had executed all 214 Pakistani military hostages taken during the seizure of the Jaffar Express train. The group accused the Pakistani state of ignoring its demands and refusing to engage in serious negotiations for the hostages’ release.

1/5 In a statement released to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said the group had given the Pakistani army a 48-hour ultimatum to negotiate a prisoner exchange. However, he claimed that Pakistan, displaying “traditional stubbornness and military arrogance,” avoided meaningful dialogue and failed to “acknowledge the situation on the ground.”

“As a result of this stubbornness, all 214 hostages have been executed,”

Just in last 24 hours there have been over 20 attacks in Balochistan against Pakistani military, election candidates, and natural resources exploration companies.

These attacks are in addition to BLA’s attack on Mach city and adjoining areas. In Quetta four attacks were carried out against security forces and election candidates.

Thread: Earlier today BLA announced conclusion of its operation Dara-e-Bolan. Few key points from BLA’s unprecedented attack:

- It was the largest attack by an armed group in Balochistan’s history. - It was first time in Balochistan’s history that an armed group took over control of a town, only 60km away from Balochistan’s capital. This is a town that has nearly a dozen military camps and installations and the high security Mach jail.

Who is Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran?

Yesterday three dead bodies were recovered from a well near Barkhan in Balochistan. The bodies were taken to hospital, where they were identified as Granaaz Marri and her two sons Mohammad Nawaz and Abdul Qadir. Granaaz Marri and her children were detained in a private jail by Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran since 2019.

Khetran is a leader of BAP, a party formed and catapulted into government overnight under alleged patronage of Pakistani intelligence agencies.

Breaking: Baloch Liberation Army has just released a detailed statement and claims it has “arrested two Pakistani personnel and shot down a helicopter in Harnai.” BLA has also released a picture of its leader Basheer Zeb Baloch 1/n BLA has identified the “arrested” as JCO of Pakistani military Naib Subaidar Kaleem Ullah and Mohammad Faisal, who BLA claims is a personnel of “Pakistani secretive agency”. 2/n

Since the BLA attacks on FC headquarters in Noshki and Panjgur a very dramatic increase has been observed in enforced disappearance of Baloch youth. Just in last 10 days TBP has reported 48 cases of such disappearances.

2nd Thread: 12th Feb: Sudes Sarparah and Saud Sarparah disappeared from Quetta, Saood's two brothers Saqib and Haroon were already disappeared on 6th and 7th Feb respectively. Whereas, Saud's brother Farhad was disappeared on 7th Feb.

1st Thread: Out of these 48 Baloch men, 12 have gone missing from Panjgur, 5 each from Mangochar, Quetta & Noshki, 4 each from Dera Murad Jamali and Karachi, 3 each from Lahore, Sibbi and Quetta, whereas, 2 cases each have been reported from Khuzdar and Awaran.

Concerning reports of racial profiling of Baloch and Pashtun students in University of Gujrat in Punjab has worried the parents. TBP has spoken to various students and their parents, who have confirmed the alarming practice. Since the beginning of this week, civilian clothed officials have been interrogating only the Baloch and Pashtun students in the varsity. Mobile phones of these students are inspected and their online activities including Facebook and Whatsapp chats have been checked.
