Yellowstone National Park: 2.1m years ago an eruption resulted in 2,450 cubic KMs of material ejected. If another eruption of that kind were to occur, falling ash could cover much of the western US & the global climate would likely fluctuate for years to decades after: USGS. Image Biscuit Basin is a smaller basin near Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. It's named after the biscuit-shaped geyserite formations that can still be seen around parts of the Sapphire Pool, according to the National Park Service.
