How to trade ranges.
- a thread Once you realize price is in a consolidation, interest lies at the high and low of the range for a reversal or a true break to occur... generally focused on reversal.

ideally:
- sweeps low in bullish orderflow
- sweeps high in bearish orderflow

There are 3 different candle types I focus on.
One I don't want to be trading.
One I want to trade after.
One I want to trading.

So which is which? 👇 Indecision Candle :
I do not want to participate in this price action.
I study previous charts which give me conditions which I anticipate this type of candle.

My focus was on the hourly chart.
my eyes focus on the aggressive move down/up after running liquidity in a discount. (manipulation) Zooming in you can see how the price leg down on the 31st took lows before aggressively moving back into the range. This sets up the displacement over 30th highs, importantly closing above them.

Importance of displacement and the marking out the displacement range, little thread example. 🧵

As you can see, the first move "breaks" the short term high, but no displacement.
The second one, I highlighted the displacement range, see the quick and energetic move? Thats MSS. Then mark out the displacement range with your .5 fib to see "discount" and "premium"
