ANNOUNCEMENT: I have filed the paperwork to sue the Government of Manitoba for the harm they have done to my children and our family. My hope is that what they did to our family they can never again do to another First Nations family again. (thread)

cbc.ca/news/canada/ma… For over 10 long and painful years they kept me and three of my four children apart. We all know how broken the system of child welfare is when it comes to First Nations. Well, my family has been terribly impacted by that broken system.

I am 34. I have been fighting to get my children returned back from Child and Family Services in Winnipeg for 10 years. We stayed eating salt and vinegar packages. That is all we found in the room. And water.
