Everyone should read this thread.

Many news outlets are deeply unaware how much anger or distrust their literal *brand* carries.

And when journalists are expected to go into communities who *remember* GENERATIONS of harmful coverage we wonder why we can’t diversify readership But! We have the power to change this. In fact we know how to do it. There’s a lot of research already out there (oh hello, Kerner Commission from 50 years ago)

But it’s up to people in power (boardroom, TV general managers, publishers, Editors in Chief etc) to put $ behind it

Trump's commerce department put a tariff on Canadian paper that jacked up all U.S. newsprint prices.
