Romney voted his conscience.

It was not a political calculation. Nor was it based upon law or evidence, as the case didn't approach the level of removal.

No, it was his opinion. If that was tainted at all by animus towards Trump, only he and G-d know. Trump will rightly feel betrayed after backing Romney's Senate run.

I'm sure Romney felt betrayed by Trump, too. FWIW, I can appreciate his integrity, however misguided by emotions.

Yet, expulsion from the GOP is not the cure.
