Today, we recognize the strong impact the #LaborMovement has and continues to make for workers' rights in our country.

As we reflect this #LaborDay, we realize there is much work still needed to further protect unions and workers' rights. Strong unions built the American dream for families all across the country.

We owe the 40-hour work week, paid leave, health care protections, and a collective voice in the workplace to workers who organized unions and fought for protections.

COVID. Economic devastation. Chaos and violence. Donald Trump has consistently made things worse for the American people.

@JoeBiden shared his vision for restoring justice and safety for all Americans.

Check out these highlights: Image .@realDonaldTrump has failed the American people. He uses violence & hate as his foundational tools to sow seeds of division.

"This president long ago forfeited any moral leadership in this country. He can’t stop the violence – because for years he has fomented it." — @JoeBiden

Equality, fairness, and justice are foundational American ideas. But even though we have yet to fully live up to those ideals, we will never stop trying.

Too many people are incarcerated in the United States, and too many of them are Black and Brown. We need to reform our criminal justice system.

We need to build safe and healthy communities.

We need to make sure that we help formerly incarcerated individuals get health care, education, jobs, and the housing they need to successfully rejoin society.

Today, we honor #WomensEqualityDay & the movement that helped adopt the #19thAmendment into the U.S. Constitution 100 years ago. We’re thankful for the countless women who paved the way, while we acknowledge that too often Black women were erased from their role in this progress. Black women, in particular, faced racism and violence that kept them from voting.

We owe so much to the brave folks who have put their lives on the line to see us through this crisis.

We asked #TeamJoe to nominate their hero — so we can highlight some of the amazing people who have stepped up to see us through the pandemic. Here are some of their stories ⬇️ Alec is a city policeman in Summersville who’s a type 1 diabetic — making him higher risk for serious complications from COVID-19. He’s working seven days a week and long hours.

Alec: we’re so grateful for your hard work. You’re keeping your community safe — you are a hero.
