There was a post yesterday that really upset me. Covid is still here, it's impact is still huge & it is still affecting many people. I'm just going to type this as I'm thinking it to get it off my chest. This is my story about how Covid has affected me & my family just in 2024🧵 2/ My brother lives in a care home for people with additional needs. All are CV & disabled. In Feb, one of the residents had an outpatients appt. They caught Covid there, brought it back & gave it to everyone else including my brother. At least one was hospitalised as a result.

@drclairetaylor @Oldboatie @doctorpallavi @Sunny_Rae1 @ZackPolanski @Sandyboots2020 @TheGreenParty I'm a teacher. Through continual tracking & observations, I've seen many cognitive changes in students, some of which I've taught 3yrs so have lots of data for & know well. The most upsetting was a 14yo who sat at his desk crying as something he'd been able to do unassisted & 1/ @drclairetaylor @Oldboatie @doctorpallavi @Sunny_Rae1 @ZackPolanski @Sandyboots2020 @TheGreenParty 2/ easily weeks earlier, he had no idea how to approach just after a Cov infection. He could see in himself that something wasn't right & was scared. This isn't a one off. If you would like a fuller detailed record of the health impact on children, speak to LA's. I have 12 kids

My husband & I flew from Nice to London today. As someone who is CEV under current "you do you" conditions where less than 5% masked, I watch & analyse everything to keep myself as safe as possible. Some things today though made me feel VERY unsafe. I'll summarise these below 1/ I was in row 11. Row 12 was an emergency exit. As a T1D, I'm unable to sit there for safety reasons. The law prevents me as in a situation I may need to remove the exit, I may be physically unable to as my body reacts to stress & adrenaline. Totally understandable 2/
