I had a mask altercation today in a supermarket. I'd finished my shopping & was standing by the entrance checking my receipt in the area where the trolleys are. Immediately to my left was the manager's office & two staff members were standing in the doorway. The tills were 1/
about 15ft/5m to my right. Three tills were open & people were queueing at all of them so there were about 20 people within 21ft/7m of me. A man with full force hurled his trolley straight at me. It only missed as the direction went a bit off at the last minute. I turned 2/

There was a post yesterday that really upset me. Covid is still here, it's impact is still huge & it is still affecting many people. I'm just going to type this as I'm thinking it to get it off my chest. This is my story about how Covid has affected me & my family just in 2024🧵
2/ My brother lives in a care home for people with additional needs. All are CV & disabled. In Feb, one of the residents had an outpatients appt. They caught Covid there, brought it back & gave it to everyone else including my brother. At least one was hospitalised as a result.

My husband & I flew from Nice to London today. As someone who is CEV under current "you do you" conditions where less than 5% masked, I watch & analyse everything to keep myself as safe as possible. Some things today though made me feel VERY unsafe. I'll summarise these below 1/
I was in row 11. Row 12 was an emergency exit. As a T1D, I'm unable to sit there for safety reasons. The law prevents me as in a situation I may need to remove the exit, I may be physically unable to as my body reacts to stress & adrenaline. Totally understandable 2/
