Republicans need to learn how to play the long game and stop hoping we can fix everything in the span of an election or two. The radical left has been at this for decades and they're enjoying the fruits of their labor. I'm not just talking politically, I mean they've infested the mainstream media and our culture too. They've been weaseling and influencing their way to the top spot for generations.

The July totals for gun purchases is 1.8 million which is astounding, and I don't think it's really a mystery as to why.
At some point Antifa is going to push people too far (they're already venturing into suburban areas) and one of them is going to get shot. Antifa isn't the communist revolutionaries they think they are. Most of them are bored rich kids made to feel guilty about what they have and looking for a way to piss off daddy. Living in a communist nation would horrify them and any real trouble would frighten them big time.

ABC is really doing its level best to make this win for Trump seem not that great. "Slightly below" (it's over a full point) and "slow climb" (despite saying it's better than expected.) Image Forgive my pre-morning coffee dyslexia.

*Almost a full point down*

Finally got around to watching Texas Rising and while I haven't finished it, I wish I was done. The only thing good about it is the acting. I wanted to like this series very badly but I can't get over how poorly this was written and shot. Honestly, it's like the shit film making you see from History Channel documentaries, but instead of being able to pardon it because it's just there for visual assistance while experts talk over it, they decided to make that an entire series.

Somebody help me understand this.

We're going to solve racism by eliminating black people from our popular culture regardless of context? HBO got rid of "Gone With the Wind" because it depicted attitudes toward black people in the old south. Did no one stop to think that it was
A: Just a movie
B: Starred Hattie McDaniel, the first black woman to ever win an Oscar for her role as best supporting actress

People are hating on this woman but let’s look at facts.
She’s highly stressed, been up for hours, is currently a member of the most undeservedly hated group in America, and read officers had their food poisoned recently.
Lay off. She deserves better.

This hatred toward police is ridiculous. Few people will ever have to go through in a single day what police deal with every day. The police deal with it so you don't have to. The stuff they've seen would blow your mind yet y'all act like you know their job better than they do.

This little tweet resulted in 100k+ likes. I have to wonder how lucrative it is to be an e-thot. Image I'm being told that there's one guy who apparently gave this one all of his money to the point where he couldn't afford rent and has now decided to live behind a Starbucks so that he could use their WiFi connection to giver her still more money.

I think we need to make something clear. If you consult a medical expert about eradicating the virus, they're going to tell you the best way to do that. This may include extending lockdowns and even buckling down on quarantines. They do this because it's their job. They aren't economists and don't fully understand the impact that this decision may have on the country as a whole. The same can be said with the roles reversed. When a medical expert says a quarantine is the best way to handle it, it doesn't mean it's the best way overall.

I want to make something very clear to people who don't seem to understand the difference between public and private work. (1) I keep seeing people say that anyone who provides a service to the public is a public worker. No, they are not public workers. They are private enterprises. They are not taxpayer funded, and live or die based on their business decisions.
