It feels like one thing younger trans folks don't get is that transitioning when I was a teenager (late 90s-early 00s) didn't just seem difficult, I literally didn't know it was an option Back then the way trans women were presented in media was as though they were hyper-feminine gay men, or as mentally ill men who were so convinced that they were actually women that it was just easier to go along with their delusion
