@SFUnified's first town hall about consolidations and closures is on Zoom now. We won't be live-twXting a full 🧵, but we'll note a few things here. First thing to note: Whatever happens, it won't start until the 2024-25 school year. Tonight begins a long outreach/info process. @SFUSD_Supe is going through a slide deck:
Declining enrollment
+ Teacher shortage
+ Aging school sites and facilites
= "We need fewer schools. Our resources are stretched too thin."

That was fast. After the 8:45pm release, the @sfchronicle is calling these races:
❌ Prop B (SFPD staffing)
✅ Prop D (ethics rules)
✅ Prop E (loosening SFPD rules on surveillance, chases, etc)
✅ Prop F (drug screens for welfare recipients)
✅ Prop G (urging 8th algebra) - Prop A (affordable housing 💰) is just ahead of the 2/3 majority it needs, too close to call.
- Prop C (tax break for turning offices to homes) is up 55-45.
- Also ahead: The incumbent SF judges called soft on crime in misleading ads sfchronicle.com/politics/artic…
