Here’s the background:

Earlier this year, after tons of thought, tears, and hope, I decided that, while I loved the little corner of the world I served as Principal, things changed in the bigger picture of education,
1/ and those things grew more and more exhausting. When I thought about it, I realized that for more than 25 years, I poured all my energy into the work at the expense of my own health in all aspects of life. That was long enough.
