This color is primarily due to urochrome, a pigment derived from the breakdown of hemoglobin.

LIGHT YELLOW URINE:
- Normal urine is light yellow/ straw coloured.

Repeated longitudinal scraping or manipulation can lead to the cuticle becoming pushed back, splitting/indentation in the midline of the nail (median nail dystrophy), or inflammation or thickening of the proximal nail fold.
