People are willing to pay more for your product/service if it fits in these buckets.

1) Speed - when my sewage backed up into my bathtub, you bet I paid extra for the plumber who could come immediately. People will pay more for if you can deliver quickly.

Thread 2) Best Product/Service - If the thing you offer is the best, people will pay more for it. When you charge more, people think it's better. Our online course business exploded when we went from charging $50 a class to $500. People buy Apple phones across income levels.

How I make $ from YouTube with less than 1,000 followers. You don't need advertising and affiliates

*Teach people something valuable
*Convert subscribers to email list w/ lead magnets on every video
*Sell a product. Spoiler it doesn't have to be an online course or ebook

Thread I have 735 youtube subs. My channel is about applying to grad school & scholarships. I have lead magnets to my email list on every video. More than 83% of my subscribers are on my email list.

Your email list is your most valuable asset. You control it, YouTube controls you

This year I taught myself content marketing. Key learnings:
-The best content method is the one you can stick to
-Reddit is my top source for content ideas & distribution
-Consistent YouTube vids is the fastest way to a lot of exposure
-My best email signup conversion is webinars More on Reddit: I spend time answering people's questions. My answers then become blog posts or youtube videos. Then when I see the same question repeated, I link to my content. I think more people should copy this strategy. Many people DM me & then I direct them to my email list

I accidentally infiltrated a cryptocurrency conference with crypto leaders from around the world. As a nonprofit, social justice activist, I came in with an open mind to learn. I had a narrow perception of crypto prior and here is what I learned. The dominant narrative of crypto is super narrow. People (i.e me) think it’s a high-risk investment or something used for crime or is a bunch of tech bro’s becoming millionaires. I was exposed to the counter narrative of people who see the utilitarian vision of crypto.

Publishing blog posts takes me longer than passing legislation with my fear/perfectionism. My story is I can't write; I come off as a fraud-narcissist. I think of how 1 post will lead to the demise of my career like I’m in a Final Destination horror film. bit.ly/2kFcDVB But my abusive inner-critic is not in control. It's always there like the loud stomping of my upstairs neighbors that I have to tune out. Instead, I do daily writing, meditate to quiet the inner voice, then show my work to people I trust who can cross-examine the inner-voice.
