For decades, skeptics categorized parts of the New Testament as "pious myths." However, modern archaeology has provided physical evidence for these accounts. Some of the most significant finds didn't happen centuries ago they happened in the last few decades.

Before 1961, there was no physical archaeological evidence that Pontius Pilate existed. Critics suggested he was a fictional character.
That changed when archaeologists in Caesarea uncovered a limestone block used as a building repair. The Latin inscription clearly named "Pontius Pilatus" as the Prefect of Judea.
