The Law of Honour
One of the best ways to describe what Honour means is in the scriptures. Hebrews 7:7 “the less shall be blessed by the greater.”
I will share a story or two. One is personal, and Apostle Joshua Selman shared the second. I’ll start with that of Joshua Selman.
A lady lived in an apartment with a friend; she admired her neighbour who recently got married. None of her sisters were married, including her. Instead of crying, she started cooking and taking to her neighbour.

Affordable Universities in Canada with tuition fees (rough estimate)
This thread contains over 100 templates of SOPs from different universities and platforms.
⚠️You shouldn't plagiarize any of it ‼️
I’m sending them so that you can see how people wrote their SOPs.
Next week, we will focus on CVs.
From what I’ve taught you, go through them, rinse, edit, redraft and review.
📍50 SOP templates: templatelab.com/statement-of-p…
As much as I’ve explained a few tips on how you can write an SOP for graduate school, you should look at some information provided by schools.
Before we do that, I have a few red flags you should avoid in your essays.
‼️ RED FLAGS ‼️
- Do not emotionally blackmail the reader. They don't work anymore.
For instance, my grades were affected because I had to help my poor mum at the market.
OR
Losing my parents affected my grades drastically. Things like this do not help.

Statement of Purpose Writing Tips part 3
By now, you should have had an idea of how to write your first paragraph, which is very important, by the way.
To effectively work on other paragraphs of your SOP, you will need to list down your answers to the questions in this thread.
Remember you are building a particular profile for the graduate admissions committee.
Now, you can answer these questions in your Graduate School Opportunities Journal (I have one).
📍What areas in your CV are lacking that you need to improve on while writing your essay?

Statement of Purpose Writing Tips part 2
I saw “Work It” on Netflix, and a lady had an interview at Duke University for pre-med. She kept on talking about how she has a 4.0 CGPA, volunteers thrice a week at a Nursing home, plays cello and is the student government rep.

As she was talking, I was like, and so? What effect/impact did you have as a student rep etc.?
And BOOM! The interviewer cut her short and asked, “What are you passionate about?” “What gets you out of bed in the morning?”

Statement of Purpose Writing Tips part 1
Before you write your SOP, always ask yourself this - “What will the graduate admissions committee remember me for?”
The reason is simple. The committee reads tons of documents. They should remember yours at the decision table.

It all boils down to your story. Who are you? Are you the candidate who never saw a moving car until you were 18 years old? Or you’re the candidate who built a robot by using spare parts?
‼️Reminder:
Your documents are a reflection of who you are. Again, who are you?

I made a tweet emphasizing the importance of financial literacy. Some of us expressed how we lacked the knowledge; some think it's inborn.
In this thread, I will be explaining how you can teach children from 5 years old financial literacy.
📍Open a bank account: There are different accounts that you should open for your children—PiggyBank and, afterwards, a kids account.
⁃ Also, get a wooden saving box from a carpenter or buy a Piggy Box from Amazon. See images below

Have you been wondering where you can volunteer? I made a list of opportunities for you:
I made a post about “Public Speaking” being an excellent skill for graduate school & I realized most people find it hard to stand the crowd during presentations.
‼️This thread will include tips, videos & short courses on how to improve on this skill.

📍Practice makes perfect:
⁃ Speak in front of family and friends: They will laugh at you or try to make you laugh (that’s even better). It will build your confidence level.
⁃ Speak to yourself: Record your voice speaking and/or video yourself. You’re your critic.
