First, if you received that tweet to mean I was implying the James Lindsays of the world are more in depth scholars of CRT than its studied proponents, you missed the point entirely. That tweet had nothing to do with scholars of any kind; hence, "mass scale".
I fleshed out what I meant in the immediate response below. Your typical soccer mom in Loudoun County who publically throws their support behind CRT, doesnt even have a surface-level understanding of what they're claiming to support.
On a mass scale, those opposed to CRT know a hell of a lot more about the doctrine (and, more importantly, its methods in application) than those who claim to support it.
Sounds illogical on its face, but I believe it's true. People like myself who are passionately against it spend a lot of time on it. Most parents in, say, Northern Virginia don't even know what they're supporting.
"Anti-racism"? Of course! Only a racist would be against that.
While they sure claim to be, these aren't serious people. If they are, they're consumed by a show.
It's like watching an orgy of moral righteousness...
The NYT staff once infamously held a town hall meeting where they openly discussed a desired shift to coverage of racism/white supremacy in America. The goals of manufacturing this narrative were stated plainly.
Show me instances of its methods in application that are having a net benefit. I want to talk methods/real life, not academic theory. Because all we see right now are the Kendi-flavored methods being pumped by jack's wealth, and they're heinous.
Perhaps that's because much of America has very little trust in our "experts", institutions and government right now. Combine that with a heinously dishonest media and it's quite easy to see how we've landed here.
We are about to witness a period of tension and distortion in this nation ratcheting up to breaking point-levels in its final chapters, and I'm genuinely not sure how it's going to play out.
Follow me on this...
As those who read my tweets know, I talk frequently about "The Truman Show". My label for a systematic media/cultural apparatus built by the left which appears to now have the ability to program our populace at will.
Reject this nonsense at every instance. Further language manipulation to advance goals. In this case, that goal is to change the definition so that only white people can be called "racist". Isn't that convenient! 🙃
The only proper response to this garbage is "piss off!".
The bizarre thing is, Mansa was another person, just like Rod Graham, that I noticed EVERYONE kept soft gloves on around. I'm new to these woods, so I never quite figured out why that was. Both Mansa and Rod can (and do) say batshit crazy accusatory stuff all the time, yet...
It serves goals, of course. Retention of power; no more complex than that.
If public sentiment can be made that the right in this country (notice "far" was dropped off there) are evil and a threat to the nation, then who becomes the good guys? 💡
So The Truman Show is on overdrive painting this exact picture. I'd expect sheep to fall for this ruse, but what has really struck me is how many minds on this platform who I really admire and respect have succumbed to the fantasy as well. Just yesterday...
Because you can apply this exact same analysis to states lifting lockdowns/mask mandates, restaurants/bars opening, beaches opening, spring break (now x2!), memorial day, Trump rallies, the Superbowl, Mardi Gras, Sturgis rally, Holiday gatherings, etc etc etc...
It's the SAME EXACT pattern every time. Pump a shit ton of apocalyptic fear to scare citizens into acquiescence, then when the promised carnage never comes to be, the same folks just move on, don't even acknowledge it, face zero repercussions, then go pumping massive fear again.
