https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1778503185466077602@ethereum I won't be able to share the full recap until a few hours from now, but here's my brief summary from the R&D discord:
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1753137839888548275@ethereum First, @christine_dkim front-ran me for the recap. Here's her summary of the call as well as my discord TL;DR 😄

https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1712547551449329709And here we go! First on the call was an update on devnet 10 by @parithosh_j and @BarnabasBusa. The network launched earlier this week and successfully tested the new validator churn limit by activating Dencun with a delay. The activation went from 5 -> 4 vals/epoch at the fork!
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1692291723907744016@ethereum First up, @BarnabasBusa gave an update on devnet 8: all clients were runing on it, and the network was generally healthy. That said, some EL <> CL pairs are still having issues, and teams are still finding bugs in their implementations, especially on the non-consensus side.
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1666915774504783872@ethereum First up, @elbuenmayini, Dan and Spencer from the EL testing team presented the execution-specs repo: a python test suite for both state tests & blockchain tests. Here's the deck they shared: notes.ethereum.org/@danceratopz/e…
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1661837625408487424@ethereum We began the call with @dankrad making the case for changing the 4844 blob target & limit from 2/4 to 3/6.
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1656703312543252481@ethereum First on the call, we had the @dedaub team share the impact analysis they did around SELFDESTRUCT removal: docs.google.com/document/d/1HD…
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1652006134142889984@Etherum On the 4844 front, we first discussed some issues with the input format to the precompile. They use little-endian, which isn't used on the EL (but is the default on the CL), while the output is big endian, the default for the EL.
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1647134313291345921@ethereum Full tweetstorm will be a bit delayed today, but here's a short summary of the call, from the R&D discord:
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1636427591191261184@ethereum First, Shapella is coming! The announcment came out earlier this week:
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1640722906744487936
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1641469154418130945
https://twitter.com/kelvinfichter/status/1641467199721291783@optimismFND I also like that both @ProtocolGuild and client teams can get allocations: PG goes directly to individuals, and some of them who fall between clearly delineated teams, and most teams' funding go back to the "org", which helps pay for both the engineers, but also everyone else!
https://twitter.com/TimBeiko/status/1631382005312286721@EthCatHerders First, apologies, there were some issues in the recording, where only my audio was coming out when we recap'ed the Goerli fork + started discussing mainnet dates. Starting at 9:00 on the recording should work, and I briefly summarized the first few minutes of the call 😅
