Some notes on the spirit of a civilization :

The fate of a civilization is decided by the geography it inhabits & the general spirit of its civilization, both interplay with & change one another. The general spirit of the Western civilization especially the Franks is to expand at the cost of perhaps everything. They started with expanding in Europe, when they couldn't any further, they crossed the oceans finding & settling new continents.

Indian society is so socially stratified that every single thing you say or do would be judged by the caste or ethnicity you belong to. It's as if a person has no individual will which can supersede such puny distinctions & everything has to depend on the community you belong to. Oh Mr X you hold opinion Y, let's analyse your community, ah you belong to caste A and ethnicity B. Let me bring out some history which is totally irrelevant to your opinion to cancel your opinion without paying heed to anything said by you.

Some thoughts on power and how its abundance/ scarcity impacts the society :

We will take two examples : The West (USA in particular) & India. Both of them are pretty old civilizations. But their history in the last 100 years has an entirely different trajectory. West has been growing in every way possible & India for the most part declining in most areas.

Let's assume a constant quantity called "power" which is measured on various scales like military, intellect, innovation, infrastructure, demographic, artistic etc.

Some thoughts on Indian population and politics :

If you start doing a root cause analysis of why India is a poor, dirty and underdeveloped country, you will eventually reach the conclusion that 75% of the country is a useless deadweight. In tune with this, every political ideology that is born here has to take this in account, be it Gandhi's secular non-violence, Savarkar's Hindutva or Jinnah's Islamism. When we delve deeper, we find that the old congress elite acknowledged it well.

Indians are content being laggards, content getting a single bronze medal, content being a poor underdeveloped country, content being bullied by small nations, content being absolute losers in all the areas, content of their own sorry lowly existence. Nothing can change us. We are a sixth of the world population while we don't have even a sixtieth of the medals in Olympics or Nobel Prizes.
