So, if you get off Highway 101 onto South Thompson Avenue (the old 101) at Nipomo, all along the old highway were 11 settlements of migrants, about 3000 of them, all living there in March 1936.

I attended a Zoom meeting of doctors who, as a subculture, is not used to technology (we are the "Reply All" crowd), nor understands the "MUTE" function. Some guy in the middle of the meeting says, "This guy's a fucking idiot." And that ended the meeting. Best part. There are like 160 doctors in this meeting. After the meeting ended, the guy who ran the meeting immediately calls me, and asks me if I was the one that made the comment.
