NBC News: A senior law enforcement official says one of those arrested at Hamilton Hall on Columbia University is James Carlson aka Cody Tarlow who was arrested during a G8 2005 protest in San Francisco for assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon and is a person of interest for burning an Israeli flag. That official also says that another one of the people arrested, at the City College of New York, was Amelia Fuller who has been involved in other protests and was -- according to public reports -- fired from the New York Botanical Garden for saying she felt "proud" when asked about the 10/7 attack.

Almost exactly 10 years ago two brothers bombed the Boston Marathon.

My thoughts continue to remain with the victims of that horrible tragedy and the survivors who still deal with their horrific injuries to this day.

I will share with you a little bit about how we covered it: It was a typical day “on the job” as NBC News’ New England producer.

We had an emotional interview with one of the victims of the New England Compounding Center meningitis outbreak. A horrible tragedy in and of itself.

NEW: 19 year old Keith Melvin Moses is being charged with murder by authorities in Orange County, FL in connection with a homicide earlier today and is expected to be charged in the shooting death of a Spectrum News employee as well as other additional charges, says the Sheriff. Keith Melvin Moses has a criminal history which includes gun charges, aggregated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and grand theft, Sheriff John Mina says.

NBC News: Sen. Robert Menendez, the powerful democratic chair of the Senate foreign relations committee from New Jersey, is under federal criminal investigation according to two people familiar with the matter and an advisor to the Senator.

Reported w/ @jonathan4ny @jonathan4ny Menendez advisor Michael Soliman says, "he does not know the scope of the investigation.”

Soliman also says, “as always, should any official inquiries be made, the Senator is available to provide any assistance that is requested of him or his office."

NBC News: The FBI has made an arrest in connection with a hoax bomb threat against Boston Children's Hospital.

The charges are expected to be announced at approximately 4pm today.

It is not related to the incident at Northeastern University. MORE: The FBI says they arrested a woman from Westfield, MA for calling in a threat a bomb threat allegedly saying "you better evacuate everyone you sickos."

She faces up to 5 years in prison for making a false telephonic bomb threat.

NBC News: At approximately 7:15pm a person at Boston’s Northeastern University sustained hand lacerations and other minor injuries when they attempted to open a Pelican-type case and a minor explosion occurred, multiple law enforcement officials tell @jonathan4ny and myself. The Boston Police bomb squad is being joined by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in investigating the incident and are trying to determine who is responsible for this and another suspected device found.

Officials say a note was found, though there are few other details.

NBC News: Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg is expected to plead guilty to criminal charges tied to his indictment by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as soon as this Thursday at 9am, according to two people familiar with the matter and a public court filing Terms of the plea have not immediately been disclosed.

A spokesperson for the Manhattan D.A.'s office declined to comment.

NEW: The shooter in Uvalde, TX had an AR-style rifle, had no criminal history, had no employment, had no friends or girlfriend, and had attended a local high school, according to Texas DPS spokesperson, Lt. Christopher Olivarez in an interview with @KerryNBC @KerryNBC Texas DPS now says the shooter had a tactical carrier which can be fitted with ballistic protection or it may not be fitted with that protection. It was not body armor they say, upon further review of the scene.

NBC News: Shihab Ahmed Shihab, of Columbus, OH, is in custody after the FBI says he wanted to smuggle 4-6 individuals from Iraq into the United States through the Mexico border to kill former president George W. Bush, court documents and law enforcement officials say.

(1/2) MORE: Shihab allegedly wanted to conduct the attack on Bush in the name of ISIS.

At all times, court documents show, Shihab was talking to a FBI confidential informant and under some form of surveillance, meaning the physical threat to Bush was low.

NEW: The FBI says a man from Maine and two teenagers, one located in the Chicago area, and one from Kentucky all planned to attack a Shia Muslim mosque in the Chicago area late this month all in the name of ISIS, according to newly unsealed court documents.

More... A court filing says Xavier Pelkey of Waterville, Maine and the two unidentified teens (not named in court papers because they are juveniles) communicated through Instagram and chat platforms to plan a meeting in Chicago during “spring break”.

NEW: Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have charged a Russian Oligarch, previously identified in court papers as "Foreign National-1", with illegal campaign donations.

Andrey Muraviev allegedly gave funds to Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman to ultimately donate to politicians. Federal prosecutors in New York say the purpose of the contributions was to bolster Muraviev and his fellow co-conspirators’ efforts with obtaining cannabis and marijuana licenses.

The alleged scheme was included in the cases against Parnas and Fruman in 2019.

NEW: The FBI has charged a woman with being an unregistered agent of the Russian Government.

They say Elena Branson tried to coordinate pro-Russian efforts in New York including two possible attempts to reach out to Trump in 2016, attempts believed to be unsuccessful, FBI says. The feds say since 2011 Branson worked as an illegal Russian agent “to spread Russia interests, including through the lobbying of U.S. Government officials in favor of Russian policy positions.”

NBC News: A man has taken a Rabbi and potentially others in a Fort Worth, TX area synagogue and has called for the release of Aafia Siddiqui from prison, three officials say.

They are trying to determine IF the man is related to Siddiqui.

NBC News: The FBI is conducting “law enforcement activity” at the Washington D.C. home of Oleg Deripaska, a FBI spokesperson confirms.

NBC News: Former Secretary of State and Chair of the Joint Chiefs, Colin Powell, has died this morning due to complications from COVID-19, his family says in a Facebook post.

Powell was 84 years old. .@KellyO reports that in the family's statement, they say Powell was fully vaccinated and they thanked the medical staff at Walter Reed for their care and treatment.
