There appears to be a lot of misunderstanding in response to my post on Jeremy Corbyn.

Let me try and address the main issues.

These are:

1. What is Zionism?

And

2. How is Jeremy Corbyn a Zionist?

First of all on Zionism. In my Employment Tribunal against the University of Bristol I set out my definition of Zionism (image below). I referred to it as ‘an ideology that asserts that a state for Jewish people ought to be established and maintained in the territory that formerly comprised the British Mandate of Palestine.’

This is a neutral definition. However, I put it in context of my views on ‘racism, imperialism and colonialism as ‘offensive to human dignity’ and which, should therefore ‘be opposed’. I consider that Zionism ‘is inherently racist, imperialist, and colonial. I consider Zionism to be offensive to human dignity on that basis, and I therefore oppose it.’

So, to be a Zionist is to believe that a Jewish state in Palestine should be created or continue to exist.

Which takes us to Jeremy Corbyn. Does he believe that a Jewish State should exist in Palestine?

Here are some quotations with the year in which they were made.

*Mr Corbyn said he remained committed to a “comprehensive peace in the Middle east based on a two-state solution, international law and a secure Israel alongside a secure and viable state of Palestine,” in line with Labour policy. he made clear his position in a letter to party donor Michael Foster, who had heckled Mr Corbyn at a Labour Friends of Israel event at the party conference in September… Responding to a letter from Mr Foster, Mr Corbyn wrote last week: “I was pleased to speak at the LFI event, and to have the opportunity to express how I felt about progressing the peace process in the Middle east, and how Labour can stay involved. “Israel has always been, and will continue to be, recognised by both myself and the Labour Party.” (2015)

*Mr Corbyn said: “I want to thank Labour Friends of Israel for their contribution in building awareness of the different dimensions of the Middle East conflict, and the crucial debate about how to achieve a peaceful long-term settlement.” In conciliatory comments, he also thanked MP Joan Ryan, LFI chair, and Israeli ambassador Mark Regev, who appeared at the event alongside him. Mr Corbyn added: “I’m genuinely glad to be here today to come together to campaign for a two-state solution for both Israelis and Palestinians. I hope that will be achieved.(Speech to Labour Friends of Israel, 2016)

*“We support a two-state solution to the conflict with a secure Israel and a viable and secure Palestinian state. … And in order to help make the two-state settlement a reality, we will recognize a Palestinian state as soon as we take office.” (Speech to Labour Party Conference, Liverpool, 2018)

Putting the definition above with the comments from Corbyn here together, it is perfectly clear that Corbyn is a Zionist.

For those wondering about how it came to pass that the Zionist attack on Jeremy Corbyn was so successful, I think it is essential to recognise the important role of Zionist infiltration into the heart of Corbyn’s office.

I have written about this and the evidence I assembled shows that the witch-hunt against ordinary members of the Party only took off once Corbyn had gained control of the apparatus of the party by appointing Jennie Formby as General Secretary and by surrounding himself with advisers who were either Zionists or who had absorbed Zionist talking points on “antisemitism”.

These included James Schneider and the "antisemitism" unit made up of Laura Murray, Harry Hayball and Patrick Smith. Corbyn allowed these people to:

1. Adopt a strategy of 'apologise and move on'; and
2. attack the membership and to throw his strongest supporters under the bus.

Corbyn went along with this, in fact oversaw it, repeatedly.

Some might argue that he has learned his lesson. But evidence of that is hard to find. Evidence countering it is available. Has Corbyn continued to be advised by the same Zionist advisers as before such as James Schneider? Yes, he has, in the election last year and via the Peace and Justice Campaign. Has he added new Zionist advisers? Yes he has, such as Justin Schlosberg of Collective (Justice Collective Ltd)

Palestine Solidarity Campaign shills for the Zionists.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign has taken it upon itself to try and ban me - and other anti-Zionists -  from speaking at public meetings up and down the country. In aid of this absurd campaign of censorship it has taken to pressuring and threatening its local groups.

I am aware of several attempts to do this.

First was the Hastings and Rye group who - to their credit - did not buckle under the pressure to disinvite me and to avoid and then remove posting a copy of my speech on the local group website.

Next there was Bristol where the local group (and the local Stop the War group) unilaterally withdrew from the Bristol Palestine Alliance in a row in part over whether I should be allowed to speak at a demo in Bristol.  Other elements of the dispute involved objecting to Huda Ammori (@HudaAmmori) from Palestine Action (@Pal_action ) and Lowkey (@Lowkey0nline) as speakers.

No doubt there have been other incidents, but the most recent was Chelmsford where the pressure was so bad that the group unilaterally decided to resign from PSC. 

The PSC in London attempted to enforce the no platform position by circulating a briefing they had compiled on things I had said.  This was then developed and circulated to all branches and was discussed at a national branch meeting a couple of weeks ago, taking up most of the time allocated for the meeting, by all accounts.

The document was four pages long and the purpose of this piece is to respond to the claims made in it.

More in next post... Before we get into the detail one thing to bear in mind is that this type of response is due in part to the fact that the Left in the UK had been played by Zionists in the anti-racist movement for decades. 

Genocidal Zionists associated with Revisionist Zionist movement were involved in the creation of the ‘anti-fascist’ movement in this country as I have revealed in earlier reporting. 

This particular group (called the '43 Group) then (in 1948) affiliated en bloc with the Irgun the group responsible for the King David Hotel bombing and which was involved in 1947 and 1948 in terror attacks against British interests in Palestine and indeed in the UK itself.

Since then the British anti-racist movement has faced the difficulty of accommodating Zionists in order to create a ‘united front’. This has been true since the 1970s in Rock Against Racsim and the Anti-Nazi League and it has remained the case ever since, in groups like Unite Against Fascism and today Stand Up To Racism.  The problem with allowing Zionists to be involved in leadership positions is that it always comes with a price. That price includes avoiding, or soft pedalling, the fact that Zionism is a form of racism. A second element is that of adopting a strategy of opposing ‘fascism’ when the main form of racism in British Society is state and institutional racism against Black people, the Irish and latterly especially Muslims. Jews are not the victims of either state or institutional racism in the UK today.

It is a truly extraordinary fact that the Anglo-Left continues to feel so burdened by appeasing the sensibilities of the genocidaires of the Zionist movement.

So, as predicted, there was some pushback on the idea that Iran is an essential support for the Palestinian Resistance.
