HOUSTON: The arctic blast arriving Thursday will be different than what hit in February 2021. It will present its own unique set of challenges including the possibility of a “flash freeze.” NOW is the time to prepare, and here are some thing you can do. A 🧵 1/ We expect the arctic front to hit Thursday and rapidly drop temperatures below freezing by evening as northerly winds kick up over 40 mph. By sunrise Friday it will be in the teens with wind chill readings in the single digits, possibly below zero. 2/

That moment you're on live TV talking about the hot weather in Texas that could lead to rolling blackouts...and then the power goes out. 😳 But hey, the show must go on!

And to be clear, we're not sure why the power went out temporarily in our building.

What I can tell you is that grid conditions are getting *really* tight. Hopefully we can get through this with the lights and A/C ON!
