Studios are still very actively doing everything they can to limit buying and making projects and trying to pay people as little as possible for their work.
So please stop saying "cinema/movies/we're back!" Because one blockbuster with A-list tal/Dirs. makes a billion dollars.
Studios have shown they have no faith in audiences to go see anything other than films that cost 200M and when they don't show up for these very expensive outings, everyone else in the business bears the brunt of the pain through layoffs and getting their movies shelved/deleted.

No writer wants to strike. We want to work. We want to continue writing the scripts that become the shows that set this app on fire night after night, week after week.
Our work creates BILLIONS of dollars that make CEOs and shareholders millions of dollars and guess what?
Somehow writers can't even reach or stay in the middle class. That has to end now.
Nothing in this business, literally nothing, can be done until a writer puts words on a page. And somehow along the way, the people in the exec chairs forgot that.
