Do you know what I’m sick to death of? People pandering to the so called big “progressive” names on Twitter. People are responding now by prefacing tweets with “Labor isn’t perfect but”. The need to respond with “Labor isn’t perfect but” is borne from feeling the need to respond to a movement of post materialists. That is people who are comfortable and have the luxury of picking at tiny holes. Believe me…these people don’t take a calculator to the IGA.

They are going to approach Net 0 via the “free Market” The Govt could choose to give massive subsidies to agriculture. Because this type of intervention is against their basic values.

There are many (some with quite prominent followings) on social media with the view that the majors are tainted and push the message that both majors are the same. I argue that this is 100% a purely political agenda. These people link Liberal and Labor together as one in the same and blame Labor for the Liberal’s Bills, practices, programs and behaviour. These people are minor party and IND supporters.

Let’s talk about this. Fighting for the environment is good. But it is the APPROACH of Greens ignorant of workers fears that is problem. The current enviro fight heavily impacts on work, self-identity & livelihoods. The enviro demands are directly related to JOB changes. Thread.

2. Let’s think about the words “real opposition” The point of opposition is not just to oppose, but to bring the masses along with you to successfully overthrow status quo. Greens saw the status quo divide into two lenses. Against coal or protecting jobs. This weakens the aim.

So In SMH @AlboMP backed coal exports. I just want to raise some points before someone cues the pile on.

Australia has relied on one main commodity for a very long time. We are the leading exporter of coal in the world. Many regions have a high concentration of heavy industry. 2. The push away from coal globally coupled with automation means we are facing the biggest change since the Industrial revolution. This means we need to stop the division as we are facing mass jobs displacement if not done right.
