Hey all, time for an antiviral experimentation update

I ordered some nitazoxanide last month to try it out and I've been using it for over a week now

I am becoming increasingly certain it is working as an antiviral
Image I came across it from this study

I hope nobody is drawing many conclusions from this study

It was fundamentally flawed in 2 major ways 1) A 15 day course is likely going to do bugger-all

For example:

Treating HCV requires a 3 month course of antivirals

Treating HIV with antivirals, patients don't see improvement for up to 6 months

Treating chronic HHV family can take years of antivirals

Most of you following me are aware I conduct serial SARS-CoV-2 antiviral self experiments

I've responded significantly to the following:

Tollovid
Paxlovid
Maraviroc (+statin)
Sofosbuvir (higher dosage) My symptoms are well under control, but I'm on a quest to try to really eliminate this virus, or find more sustainable treatments

Still holding out hope it's more like herpes than HIV

On my journey, I'm hoping to find something that might help all of you in the process

My immune system appears to have recovered

No more lymphopenia or neutropenia

CD8s and CD4s up around 50% from nadir

In the past 5-6 months:

I'm not catching *everything* our kids bring home

Of the 1 or 2 things I've caught, recovery has been relatively quick

Cuts/wounds (from gardening, etc) are healing normally like they used to

Almost no skin reactions/issues

No bacterial infections

Ordered 3 months worth of Sofosbuvir+Daclatasvir after learning about the powers of exonuclease inhibitors when combined with RdRp inhibitors

10-500x (in-vitro) reduction in viral units?!?! Yes please! Image Hats off to @sun_in_winter12 for finding and sharing this study

Acyclovir (valacyclovir, famciclovir, valganciclovir) is effective against all of these little guys

Most of these have been implicated as root causes of ME/CFS Image Once infected, these viruses stay with you for life

Virtually everyone has been infected by multiple of these viruses, often as a child

This family of viruses enjoy living inside nerve and immune cells

Maraviroc

Developed by Pfizer, is a CCR5 antagonist, the first and only approved drug of its class

It was approved in 2007 to treat HIV

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maraviroc "CCR5 is the main coreceptor used by macrophage (M)-tropic strains of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and HIV-2, which are responsible for viral transmission."

I have been wanting to do a big SARS-CoV-2 antiviral mega-thread, as I've been mentally collecting all the information and anecdotes I've found over the past 1.5 years, as well as trying out many antivirals myself

But time has been escaping me

So I'll do a quick mini-thread The obtainable antivirals:

Paxlovid (3CL inhibitor)
Tollovid (3CL inhibitor)
Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (RdRp inhibitor)
Sofosbuvir (RdRp inhibitor)
Maraviroc (CCR5 antagonist)

The OMG-just-approve-them-already list:

Ensitrelvir (3CL inhibitor)
Azvudine (RdRp inhibitor)

Some have been asking how I obtained Paxlovid after my recent thread

I know there are a lot of people suffering who want to join the antiviral experimentation club, so for the greater good, I'm going to share how you can do this

A picture of my stash, containing several SARS-COV-2 antivirals Firstly, a word of warning

Any drug you wish to experiment with, you should do so under supervision and guidance of a good doctor

Paxlovid in particular has an enormous list of contraindications and drug interactions

The list is 10 pages long

Azvudine

I have pain where my thymus is located, where T Cells go to workout

My CD8s and CD3s are deteriorating

I'm certain viral persistence is the root cause

Looking for new options after current treatment regime hasn't helped

Then I lookup Azvudine and lo and behold 🤯 "Oral administration of FNC in rats revealed a substantial thymus-homing feature, with FNC triphosphate (the active form) concentrated in the thymus and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC)."

Revisiting this question with some new (to me) information The source of Cuba's case and death numbers is the Cuban Ministry of Public Health salud.msp.gob.cu/parte-de-cierr…

Can anyone explain why Cuba seems to have eliminated covid? Follow up question

Why is nobody asking questions about Cuba's success?
