🧵(1/) Keeping an eye on another tropical disturbance in the central Atlantic around 39W longitude. Some rotation is evident in satellite imagery, and there is a possibility that this disturbance approaches the Caribbean this weekend.
(2/) This is a complex situation to predict accurately, because this disturbance is on the western end of the monsoon trough, an elongated belt of vorticity (spin) currently extending from 40W longitude to Africa.
