Happy Futhark Friday,

Former Rushville Police Chief Todd Click, ISP Trooper Kevin Murphy, and Detective Greg Ferency investigated multiple suspects out of Rushville, IN in the wake of the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi, IN - including that of one Rod Abrams, who was the former roommate and close friend of Elvis Fields, a suspect who made multiple confessions to his sister about the homicide of the girls.

Abrams was arrested in the late morning of January 4th, 1998 for attacking a man, later identified as William Draper, with a knife in the wooded area behind a Longhorn steakhouse. According to both Draper and Mary Griffin (Abrams mother), Abrams walked towards Draper swinging the knife within 6" of his chest area before stepping up on the vehicle and kicking in the windshield. Draper and Abrams' mother co-owned the vehicle.

The knife used by Abrams was recovered by the officer and is a "small hunting knife".

Did Rod Abrams borrow or inherit his mother's vehicle anytime in 2017? We would know if unified command, or perhaps defense investigators, followed up on this at any point in the investigation.

The vehicle in Abram's arrest fits Betsy Blairs description (closer IMO) to what the defense provided. A 1982 Chrysler New Yorker fits Blair's sketch of the car and is a four-door type, as was Betsy's description on the sketch itself.Image
