We, the people, hold our leaders accountable by requiring campaigns to file reports about money. But in our Tacoma Mayoral race we can’t do that. /1 From June through the general election in November, campaign contribution reports are due weekly to the PDC. The voters should expect to see accurate information about who is giving money to campaigns at the start of every week. /2

Watching the @Wa_PDC hearing regarding the Tacoma Weekly. TW solicited candidates to purchase an ad package that included endorsement. TW ran stories that covered same info as purchased ads. Candidates Jason Whalen and Javier Figueroa purchased packages, but ads/stories did not have required ad sponsor info.
