Last year a friend who works with one of Nigeria's top manufacturing companies told me they spend about N45/kw for natural gas, N65/kw for on-grid power and N175/kw for diesel generators for their entire energy mix. Fact is, energy is a costly expense lines for a company's OPEX
Now, it is no longer news that everyone's weekly fuel purchase has skyrocketed, and I believe the removal of the PMS subsidy has brought this conversation on energy mix closer home for many ordinary Nigerians

So, I'll say it, so that it'll be on record that it was said
With Nigeria's stunting rate at 43.6%, wasting at 10.8% and underweight children at 31.5%, the CBN's plan to ban FX for milk importation is a bad idea
This could threaten our future, while we are concerned about now
At the moment, Nigeria produces 600k tonnes of milk but consumes 1.7m tonnes annually.
CBN governor is worried about the FX being used to fund the shortfall (rightly so)
But what an FX ban will do, is take away the last source of fortified nutrition from poor Nigerian children

It is unfair for anybody to question the work of the @nigerianstat
As I have seen the rigours process it takes to collect this data from across the country
In 2014, I requested to be an observer on any of thier surveys. I was just curious as to how it worked
Me in pink(center)
My request was granted and at this point, I'd not even met @sgyemikale
I joined up with the team in Enugu to observe a National household survey, one half of the data where things like jobs, etc is taken from
Apparently, there's always a training before they set out
