Just watched the Kamen Rider Black Sun Ep 1. Episode did a great job at establishing that this is a hard reboot of Kamen Rider Black. There are some familiar elements, but this is not the same story, and you can easily watch it without any Kamen Rider BLACK knowledge. 🧵 The episode made it clear that it will have heavy political themes that is based around the current affairs. Some scenes might feel uncomfortable to some viewers.

Just a reminder, all three main Kamen Rider films from the 90s, namely: Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue, Kamen Rider ZO, and Kamen Rider J are all legally available for free on YouTube with English subs. Watch them below this thread: Originally released in 1992, Kamen Rider Shin is a reimaging of the core Kamen Rider concept, and is the first standalone film of the franchise. Film also celebrated the franchise's 20th anniversary.
