1. Over the past year, we built the Veterans in Foreign Policy Initiative around one simple belief: those who fight America’s wars should have a voice in the debates that lead to them. Since 9/11, over 3 million all-volunteer veterans served. Their voices belong in the room. 2. One of our first in-person events marked the anniversary of the U.S. battle of Fallujah--a defining symbol of the Iraq War and the Global War on Terror. We heard directly from those who were there.
