Reservation Day

July 26, 1902 is a historic day in Indian history. On this day, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, the great-grandson of Shivaji Maharaj, issued revolutionary orders in the princely state of Kolhapur. He provided 50% reservations in government services to the backward classes with the idea that representation in governance should be proportional to population.

Backward classes referred to all castes excluding Brahmins, Prabhus, Shenvis, Parsis, and other developed castes —

REMEMBERING UDA DEVI PASI ON HER BIRTH ANNIVERSARY (30TH JUNE 1830 – 16TH NOVEMBER 1857)

The brave Dalit woman liberation warrior Uda Devi Pasi (1830-1857). who participated valiantly in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British East India Company, is honoured by BAPSA. Uda Devi was a proud member of Wajid Ali Shah's (the final Nawab of Awadh) women's brigade.

#2अप्रैल 2018 को SC-ST Atrocity Act मे सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले से नाराज SC-ST समाज के लोगो ने भारत बंद का ऐलान करके सफल और शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से अपना विरोध और अपनी चेतना की ताकत का सबको अहसास करवा दिया था| एक दर्जन से ज्यादा लोगो की जाने गई थी और कई हजार लोगो को जेल मे डाला गया था ये तांडव जब ज्यादा होते है जब सरकारे समय रहते लोगो की आवाज नही सुनती| दलित आदिवासियों के मान सम्मान, आत्मसम्मान और सामाजिक सुरक्षा के लिए 75 सालो से शायद ही किसी सरकार ने अच्छी नीयत से काम किया हो, एक आध सरकारे अपवाद कही जा सकती है
