The brave Dalit woman liberation warrior Uda Devi Pasi (1830-1857). who participated valiantly in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British East India Company, is honoured by BAPSA. Uda Devi was a proud member of Wajid Ali Shah's (the final Nawab of Awadh) women's brigade.
