1/ Spoke with Montgomery County Executive @Marc_Elrich this morning. His county has seen at least 5 rapes committed by illegal immigrants in under a month.

Despite forbidding county employees from most cooperation with ICE, Elrich insists it's NOT a "sanctuary county." 2/ "What you call 'sanctuary' but what we prefer to think of is a more welcoming policy toward immigrants," Elrich said.

He says the county DOES cooperate with ICE sometimes, for "serious crimes," including "rape, murder, you know, child abuse or any of these serious things."
